No More Victims - Asheville is an extraordinary group of locals who are now working on the funding for another one of Iraq war's smallest victims.
Rusul, whose leg was badly injured in the same US airstrike of November, 2006 that took both of sister Salee’s legs.
The Asheville group met Salee in September of 2007 when she came to Asheville for a No More Victims presentation. She had her operation in Greenville, South Carolina, where she was surgically fitted with prosthetic legs.
Rusul will be coming to Shriners Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina for an amputation and prosthesis in the spring of 2008.
The Asheville and Greenville communities have been working in conjunction to get these girls brought over here from Iraq, arranging for their surgery, and funding the project through fundraising efforts.
They are relying heavily on the kindness of strangers and friends and you can donate to this worthy cause via PayPal on the website.
