The thunderstorms likely rained out the event. Rain came like crazy at the time they were to meet up and get the body paint. It didn't let up until a few minutes before the race began.
Four riders showed up. Police were not intimidated.
But those dedicated four rode all around downtown and got a great response from onlookers.
Congrats, riders. You showed a lot of heart-- and other body parts.

Too bad about the rain, but it is cool that Asheville is participating in the world naked bike ride. I live down the road in Greenville, SC and I can't see anything like that happening here.
